Sirindhorn Observatory Chiang Mai University Founded in 2017, it is under the supervision of the Astronomy Research Group. Department of Physics and Materials Science Faculty of Science Chiang Mai University For activities in teaching, research and community service  every year, Sirindhorn Observatory Chiang Mai University There will be visitors to all departments within Chiang Mai University. and outside agencies from schools and educational institutions throughout the country, not less than 2000 people per year. The observatory is open for service only during the winter season.   To provide personnel and students of the Department of Physics and Materials Science Including the general public having the opportunity to visit and listen to lectures on astronomy, the department has therefore organized an open roof project to see the sky and astronomy. It is an activity that is organized continuously every year.
